On this day a year ago/ Neste dia um ano atrás

January 27th marks the day we first arrived in Africa. I still remember it like it was yesterday, because it feels like it was only a short time ago. I remember getting off the small plane in Swaziland; not knowing what to expect and not know what to do. Thankfully as we were going through customs Ben Rodgers showed up. What a relief to see a familiar face. We had such a warm welcome by all the missionaries that just happened to be at his house that evening. And so our great adventure in Africa began.

Vinte e sete de Janeiro marca o dia em que primeiro chegamos a África. Lembro- me como se fosse ontem, pois parece que foi a tão pouco tempo atrás. Lembro saindo do aviãozinho na Suazilandia; sem saber o que esperar e nem o que fazer. Graças a Deus quando estávamos passando pela alfândega Ben Rodgers apareceu. Foi um alívio ver um rosto familiar. Fomos muito bem-vindos por todos os missionários que por concidência estavam na casa dele aquela tarde. E assim começava nossa grande aventura na África.
